A foundation in internal medicine

Dr. Shah's path to vein care began with a three year Internal Medicine residency at Jefferson Health, where he managed a wide range of medical conditions and led a team of interns and residents in coordinating patient care alongside attending physicians. During this time, he also conducted research studies presented at national conferences and took part in community outreach programs focused on preventing and managing chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension. That broad medical foundation continues to shape how he evaluates and treats patients today.

Education and background

Dr. Shah earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Economics from Rutgers University, graduating with Cum Laude honors and completing an honors thesis on the molecular and functional analysis of the deafness protein Pejvakin. He went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Advanced training in venous and lymphatic medicine

His training included performing ablative procedures using laser, radiofrequency, glue, and foam sclerotherapy, along with a clinical externship at a leading venous and lymphatic medicine center.

He also completed a cosmetic sclerotherapy program with more than 100 hours of hands on training in injecting varicose and spider veins, and he developed and presented an educational seminar on biologic skin substitutes used in the treatment of venous ulcerations. Throughout his fellowship, he took part in multiple venous and lymphatic medicine conferences and workshops, building relationships with specialists across the field.

Leading vein care across New Jersey

Dr. Shah has served as a lead physician overseeing clinics in Edison, East Brunswick, and Freehold, where he helped maintain IAC accreditation across three locations and conducted thorough examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients with acute vein conditions. He also helped grow a new clinic location by developing region-specific marketing materials, including blog posts, print advertisements, and social media content, reflecting his hands-on approach to both patient care and practice growth.
